| | St.Helens Sustainable Community Plan (SCP) is the cutting edge of a new era of partnership working. It articulates the ambition for St.Helens over the next ten years from 2008 to 2018. It establishes local priorities in line with national aims and is a statutory document agreed with Government, the Council and the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). The SCP heads an extensive network of strategies, partnerships, delivery arrangements and engagement processes. It encompasses all significant strategic documents produced by St.Helens Council and the members of the wider LSP; from the Local Area Agreement, Corporate Plan, the Local Development Framework (LDF), City Growth Strategy, Children and Young People’s Plan, Health Improvement Plan and the Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy, to links with regional plans where appropriate. |

St.Helens Local Area Agreement (LAA) is now the effective delivery vehicle for the SCP, taking forward the most critical actions and targets to improve liveability, achieve better health, and reduce worklessness - the most pressing issues St.Helens faces.
